We are excited to announce that this year Copenhagen will host Space Apps for the first time ever since its inception. Space Apps is the biggest global hackathon in the world engaging thousands of citizens each year across the globe to work with NASA in designing innovative solutions to global challenges using open source data.
The event will take place at the IT University of Copenhagen and we are inviting all passionate technologists, scientists, designers, entrepreneurs and anyone with an interest to make an impact to join us throughout this creative journey to the moon and back. Teams will work together to develop answers to some of the most pressing challenges on earth and space using publicly available NASA data.
The IT University of Copenhagen is looking forward to welcoming 200 participants on a first come first serve basis. There will be a waiting list available but please make sure you register through this website.
ITU is easily accessible by Metro (DR Byen station) or buses and a very inspiring place to work at. Find your way here.
We will start with a Bootcamp to warm up on Friday the 22nd and the Hackathon will start on Saturday morning, the 23rd. ITU will remain open during night on Saturday and the event will finish on Sunday the 24th with the announcement of the local winners, who will represent Copenhagen in the global open innovation competition.
